Digital Group Show #1: Safe-Space
Call for all visual media.
"noun: safe space; plural noun: safe spaces
a place or environment in which a person or category of people can feel confident that they will not be exposed to discrimination, criticism, harassment, or any other emotional or physical harm."
It is our responsibility to create spaces of solidarity, and inform the public on the concept. We need places where we can run to and hide, places of conversation and healing. Human history has always been violent and oppressive, but the oppressed have been able to survive by sticking together and resisting.
Tell us what your safe-space looks, feels, tastes, smells, like. Is it a physical place or a state of mind? Is it an object or a person? Is it an ideal? Open to interpretation. We encourage you to be subversive.
